The end of autumn in Arashiyama

Arashiyama (嵐山) is situated alongside a river in Kyoto. It is a really famous spot in Kansai for walking around and viewing the autumnal colors.

We went last week and were not disappointed. Although it was VERY windy and much colder than Osaka, the colors of the trees were beautiful.

We stopped in at a local cafe and ate zenzai - one of Japan`s very yummy autumn and winter delicacies.
