Camellia Wagashi

Yummy sweets ♡

This season in Nara is well known for the blooming of the Camelia Flower (tsubaki - 椿). In recognition of this, many confectioners in Nara city produce traditional sweets (wagashi - 和菓子) in the shape of the flower.

I was lucky enough to eat one this afternoon, mmmm!

In Japan, the Camelia is used for many things including tea, skin and hair care products...

Have you heard of Tsubaki hair care series? It is made by Shiseido with the oil from the Camelia flower.
